Scrub and Woodland Work

Scrub Clearance

One of our main areas of work, out of bird breeding season, is scrub clearance and woodland work. We clear scrub using chainsaws, brushcutters, tractor mounted flails or attachments mounted on an excavator such as a reciprocating cutter head or Bird Eye brushcutter head.

Wet Scrub

Typically we clear wet scrub by chainsaw felling followed by burning on tin to allow ash removal for disposal off-site. Winching is used where necessary. Unique techniques, such as a monorail for access on to sensitive areas, are used where appropriate. See also previous wet scrub work.
