Below are some examples of work which has been undertaken recently on a variety of fenland and sensitive habitats in East Anglia.

Silver Studded Blue Conservation

Rotovation of 4m wide strips of heath to encourage ant colonies for the silver studded blue butterfly on areas previously cleared of gorse.

Culvert Installation

To provide access for the restoration of an area of fen along the southern bank of the Little Ouse we installed two 900mm internal diameter culverts across drainage ditches.  As part of the work we diverted one of the ditches onto a new course.

 
Gorse and Birch Clearance
 
We cleared 1.5ha of dense gorse and birch on a north Nofolk heathland as part of a long term restoration project.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Boardwalk Installation
 
We constructed 125m of 1500mm wide pressure treated softwood boardwalk on a site next to the River Wensum.
